  • Cyclobenzaprine

    Skeletal | Muscle Relaxant 

    Cyclobenzaprine is used to relieve muscle tightness.  Cyclobenzaprine inhibits neurotransmitters that cause muscle tightness.

    The primary action of the Skeletal Muscle Relaxants is to decrease excitatory neurotransmitter release.

  • Baclofen

    Skeletal | Muscle Relaxant 

    Baclofen is used to relieve muscle tightness. Baclofen is a GABA receptor agonist with powerful antinociceptive effects and is very effective for chronic or neuropathic pain.

    The primary action of the Skeletal Muscle Relaxants is to decrease excitatory neurotransmitter release.

  • Orphenadrine
    Skeletal | Muscle Relaxant 

    Orphenadrine is used to relieve muscle tightness. Orphenadrine binds to and inhibits Histamine H-1 receptors and NMDA receptors.

MUSCLE RELAXER

    NMDA Blocker (Class III Substitute) – Pain Reducer

    N-methyl-D-aspartate antagonists block pain transmission in dorsal horn spinal neurons, reduce nociception, and decrease tolerance and the need for opioid analgesics.

    NMDA Receptor Blockers normally last longer and build up less tolerance as well as working on a different receptor which normally produces new therapeutic relief than from opioids.

  • Ketamine

    NMDA Receptor Blocker  – Class III/Pain Reducer

    Licodaine induces a localized numbing effect topically to as specific site including the absence of pain sensation normally.  Local Anesthetics drugs act very fast but have a short duration.  Licodaine is very fast acting but does not last long, as to where Prilocaine and Bupivacaine start working after Lidocaine but lasts longer, so given together then have a synergistic local anesthesia effect.

  • Prilocaine
